Come on a fascinating journey of discovery into the world of pepper and discover exclusive types of pepper and blends during our online tasting. In this course, you will be surprised by a variety of exciting information about the aromas, origin and characteristics of every pepper. You will also receive numerous tips on how to use each pepper specifically in starters, main courses, desserts and drinks.
The online course lasts around 2.5 hours and is prepared and conducted by spice sommelier Patrick Eisermann.
How does this activity work?
We will send you a lovingly assembled package 10 days before the start of the course. It contains the exclusive types of pepper, a comprehensive summary of the course and inspiring recipe ideas. You will also receive a link to access the online platform on the day of the event.
The online course uses various types of pepper, which you can experience directly during snacks or dinner. You dive into the fascinating world of pepper, from botanical classification to the variety of aromas through precise sensory training. In addition, you can create three individual pepper blends according to your personal preferences.

You will quickly discover how diverse the world of pepper is and how easy it is to use many of the initially exotic varieties. It is not necessary to already know about pepper and spices. The only important thing is to be open to good taste and new taste experiences.

But the “classic” types of pepper also remain exciting. Because there are big differences in quality and taste, depending on the variety, maturity and origin.

What to bring?
No content preparation is required for the course. You will be guided through the course in a structured and entertaining way. Make sure that you can process the types of pepper fresh, preferably with a pepper grinder and a mortar. Otherwise, the usual kitchen equipment such as knives, spoons, plates, etc. Choose ingredients that suit your taste. We recommend using regional and seasonal produce. You can find further details in our spice pack handout. We attach great importance to keeping preparation costs to a minimum. This course is about the discovery and diversity of pepper aromas. Instead of focusing on the perfect preparation of recipes, the focus is on specifically refining them with various pepper flavors. You have the option to actively participate or simply listen or limit yourself to bread, butter and pepper.
