About this class

In the midst of the idyllic nature of Fürstenberg (Havel), a creative day full of inspiration and expression awaits you. After a walk in the forest, we sketch there — with sticks, ink, penci…

What you’ll do in the class

Welcome & working materials (10:30 — 11:30)

  • Short introductory round
  • Introduction to the available materials (chalk, graphite, charcoal, pastel, ink, etc.)
  • Where do we work? Depends on weather

Walk along the lake to the forest (11:30 — 13:00)

  • Painting impulses: Focus on process rather than result
  • Sketches are created
  • Select a mushroom, lichen, or anything else that you would like to take with you to the studio

Lunch break (1:30 p.m. — 2:30 p.m.)

  • Eating together: lunch snack (vegetarian) from the house. If you want, feel free to bring something else that you would like to share
  • Open discussion, exchange, withdrawal is also possible
  • If the weather is nice: Take a short sunbath or jump in the lake - bring your bathing suit

What is created? (2:30 PM — 5:00 PM)

  • Time to work with sketches from the forest

Conclusion & outlook (17:00 — 17:30)

What to bring to the class

  • Suitable old clothes
  • Good shoes, warm socks
  • Water bottle & thermos
  • mosquito repellent, etc.
  • outdoor seat pad (stool if necessary)
  • Contribution to a midday snack in case of intolerance

The course is aimed at anyone who would like to go for a walk and draw about their immediate surroundings — even in bad weather. Please wear appropriate clothing. Whether you're drawing for the first time or already have experience: You're welcome!
