About this class
In a cozy studio atmosphere, children aged 5 to 13 create creative works of art out of clay. Together they make candle holders, which you can celebrate with a birthday song and then decorate…
What you’ll do in the class
- Children are warmly welcomed in the studio
- The children make clay balls and make their own candle holders
- Light the candles together and sing the birthday song
- The children then decorate their candlesticks freely
- They then make other pottery objects such as animals, bowls or fantasy figures or paint a ceramic blank by arrangement
- The course instructors accompany the children creatively and sensitively
- Finally, eat cake and unwrap presents
- The works dry for two to three weeks, are fired once and are ready for collection after around four weeks. After the first heavy fire, they are stable, but matt and natural-coloured
