About this class
In a cozy studio atmosphere, children aged 6 to 9 create creative works of art out of clay. Together, candle holders are created, which are celebrated by candlelight and a birthday song and then decorated. The children then freely make other objects such as animals or bowls. Alternatively, plates or cups can be painted. The works are burned and can be picked up after approx. 4 weeks. It is possible to eat cakes and unwrap gifts.

What to bring to the class
- Would be happy to have a small snack and drinks in between meals
- Birthday cake may be brought along
- Please bring your own crockery, plates and cutlery

What you’ll do in the class
- Children are warmly welcomed in the studio
- Shaping clay balls and designing individual candle holders
- Light candles and sing a birthday song
- Free decoration and design of candle holders
- Pottery a second object (e.g. animals, bowls, fantasy figures) or paint a ceramic blank (by arrangement)
- Creative support from course instructors
- Eating cake and unwrapping gifts
- Works dry 2—3 weeks, are fired once and picked up approx. 4 weeks later (The works are very stable after the first major fire, but matt and natural-coloured.)

- Suitable for groups of up to 10 children
- One accompanying adult may make pottery free of charge
