In our basket weaving course in Cologne, we will show you how to make your own wicker basket. Using natural materials from nature, we will weave, tie, thread and twist your wicker basket together! We make your basket or trivet out of raffia, grass or wicker.

Our basket weaving course in Cologne takes place in the Cologne sculpture studio. On Bonnerstraße 90 in Frechen, we are waiting for you in our inviting studio.
What you’ll do in the class
We search for our material together in nature: red vines, deep green ivy, light grass. You design with form and color. The binding material sets colorful or subtle accents. We create an unusual lid or handle for your wicker basket - the imagination has virtually no limits. Whether oval, round, flat or high, symmetrical or asymmetrical, every work is unique. We start with a trivet and then climb up to a basket. Depending on the season, we also weave with willows. This course is designed as a basic course.
We reserve the right to cancel the course at least one week before the start if the minimum number of participants of five people is not reached.
Who is the class suitable for?
The course is suitable for anyone who enjoys braiding. It doesn't matter whether you've done something similar before or not. I will explain all important steps to you. The course is also ideal for private groups or JGAs.
