This year I spent a lot of time in Mexico and studied this fascinating cuisine extensively. This evening is all about the great flavors of Mexican street food and traditional cuisine.
The following dishes await you:
- Ceviche made from herb strings and young coconut, a wonderful alternative to traditional fish dishes
- Tacos: The ultimate Mexican street food. In the evening, we will make a version of the traditional Conchinita Pibil tacos based on pulled oyster strings, plus pink pickled onions, coriander guacamole and three types of salsas (pineapple, chile pasilla and jalapeño) on homemade corn tortillas.
- Chili sin carne: My chili is a great dish for cooler autumn and winter evenings. With minced walnut mushrooms, marinated vegetables and corn and sprouted buckwheat in a finely seasoned tomato base, it is a very soothing and filling dish.
- Flan de Platano with Ancho Chili Chocolate Ice Cream
How does this activity work?
There is a lot of input and knowledge on my part and the recipes for you afterwards, of course, so that you can imitate the dishes at home.
In keeping with the food and philosophy, there are great natural wines in the evening, which you can also order by the glass.
It will be a relaxed evening, with lots of good food and great social interaction.
