What you’ll do in the class
Part 1: Your candle holders using the mix and match principle
At the heart of the workshop is our mix and match system. You choose from many different shapes and combine them however you like, such as ribbed elements with playful flower shapes. This is how you assemble your candle holder piece by piece according to your own taste, instead of adding a finished standard model.
Then it's time to get to the material. You mix the raysin yourself, incorporate colors and effects and decide on your look:
- Terrazzo style: with color speckles
- Marble style: with marble effect where colors flow together
- Layer style: with layers of paint that are layered on top of each other
We work with highly pigmented colors. This gives your candlesticks strong, rich shades or delicate pastel shades, depending on how you dose. In the end, you have two candle holders of your own, which you designed and cast yourself.
Part 2: Dip Dye Candles
It gets warm in the second part. Together, we dip stick candles into coloured wax baths. You dive in layer by layer, create color gradients and combine different shades. The result is two individual stick candles in a dip dye look, which you match the color of your candle holders.
At the end of the evening, you'll take home a complete, coordinated set: candlesticks and candles, which together make a real statement.
