What can you expect at the Jesmonite Workshop in Hanover?

In this workshop, you will become familiar with the versatile trend material Jesmonite. You will learn to pigment the material according to your individual color preferences and create different looks, such as the marbling effect or the terrazzo design.

You have the choice between various silicone molds, which I provide you with and a wide selection of supplements such as sand and terrazzo chips in a colorful range of colors.

During the workshop, I will share my basic casting skills and show you various design techniques.

After you have processed the material, it takes about 20 minutes until the mass hardens and you can unmold your object. Finally, you will sand the surface and work out the grain. After you have sealed the object in a food safe way, you can take your workpiece home.
The workshop lasts approximately 2.0 - 2.5 hours, with a short break in the middle while we wait for the workpieces to harden. Drinks and snacks will be provided during the break.
Work aprons and gloves are provided by me. Comfortable clothing that can also be worn is helpful. You don't need any previous knowledge.
