Class description
We usually start drawing with the idea that we must have “finished” a certain image in mind beforehand so that we can then put it on paper/canvas. In this course, we are trying to do just the opposite, namely to clear our heads of the expected result and simply doodle for now, simply with the joy of doing. This often creates unexpected images that amaze us.
The materials and painting media used can be anything that leaves marks on paper.
Who is the course suitable for?
Anyone who wants to try their hand at art and explore their creative side can take part in the course. From beginners to advanced users, no previous experience is required.
How does this activity work?
We start with a brief introduction to the various materials available to us, to drawing itself and to its history. Each participant then has the opportunity to try out the various painting tools. We look at the resulting work from a variety of perspectives and consider how we will continue to work. The exchange with each other is fruitful, but there will also be enough time for quiet, concentrated work. Questions and help are always available.
Who should definitely take part?
No drawing skills are required for the course. It is aimed at everyone, regardless of age, who has always wanted to learn how to draw or explore new ways of pictorial representation using the simplest means.
