About this class
Texture is the new color: In this workshop, everything revolves around the interplay of light, surface and structure. With the help of high-quality structural paste from Into Texture, minimalistic, modern works of art are created under your hand — reduced in color but rich in depth.
You will learn various techniques for applying, shaping and combining textured materials and can let your creativity run wild on 30 x 40 cm canvas. Whether wave-like, geometric or organic — the focus is on your personal handwriting.
A workshop for anyone who wants to work with structure, relax and think aesthetically.
What you’ll do in the class
— Arrival & material science: You will receive an introduction to structural pastes, tools and examples of minimalistic texture art.
— Discover techniques: You will learn different methods for applying, drawing, shaping and combining the structural paste.
— First experiments: On a test surface, you try out tools, lines, patterns and surfaces to get a feel for the texture.
— Plan design: You decide on a style — wave-like, geometric, organic or freely improvised — and roughly outline your idea.
— Transferred to the canvas: On your 30 × 40 cm canvas, you apply the paste, sculpt shapes and work out depth and light accents.
— Fine-tuning & details: You refine edges, transitions and structures until your work has the desired harmony.
