- Introduction to manual camera settings: aperture, shutter speed, ISO (for smartphone, DSLR, or mirrorless camera)
- Understanding light, exposure, and white balance for better image control
- Image design and composition techniques: rule of thirds, lines, perspectives and image section
- Individual focus: portrait, reportage, still life or nature photography
- Practical photo exercises indoors and outdoors: creative use of existing motifs
- Image selection and the basics of digital post-processing with Gimp or Photoshop Elements
- Feedback round on image impact, tips for improving and building a personal portfolio
