About this class
Would you like to learn to make pottery together with your child? Then this course is just the right thing for you to get started with ceramic art. In a relaxed atmosphere, you will learn the basics of manual construction. You make simple clay vessels with your hands, beads or plates. Together, you can design small bowls, cups or objects according to your ideas. You don't need any previous knowledge, just a desire to try something new.

What to bring to the class
Anticipation and desire to create with sound. If you already have a first project idea, feel free to bring it along. Aprons are available to protect your clothes. Short fingernails are recommended.
What is included in the class?
You will receive an introduction to the basic techniques of hand building. We will assist you in creating your first unique pieces. Sound, use of all tools and burning costs are included. Tea and water are available for you on site.

What you’ll do in the class
During the course
After a brief introduction to materials, tools and the most important techniques, you will start your own project right away. Perhaps you design a bowl, a mug, a vase or something completely individual. You decide what you want to implement and we will guide you step by step.
Together, we'll see how you build, connect and design your piece so that form and function fit together. This is how you implement your ideas artisanally and create a personal work of art. If you have enough time, you can try a second piece of ceramic.
After the course
After your works have completely dried, we will do the first firing. We will then glaze your course results for you. Alternatively, you can decide on site to design your pottery yourself after firing. Regardless of your choice, we will take care of the second burn.
Picking up your pottery
You can pick up the finished pieces about 3 to 6 weeks after the course during open studio appointments or by appointment. We will let you know as soon as your items are ready for collection.
Who is the class suitable for?
The parent-child course is ideal for one parent and one child (6—16 years) who want to spend creative time together and create something with their own hands. The course is suitable as an introduction to pottery or as a creative break. You don't need any previous knowledge.
