About this class
What you’ll do in the class
The workshop runs in four parts:
- Design brainstorming: Everyone shows what they brought, and you choose the best idea together.
- Prepare the project: Learn how to measure, mark, cut and pin your project.
- Learn the machine: Use your own sewing machine and learn how to thread it and sew with it.
- Sew your project: Finish your garment and take home practical skills for future projects.
The 3.5-hour workshop is guided by two upcycling designers and takes place in a small group.

Josefina Studio is run by a Uruguayan fashion designer who creates workshops and experiences around fashion and upcycling. The studio shows the potential of pre-owned materials and encourages you to express your creativity and style.
