Class description
In this course, women of all ages learn the basic figures of oriental dance, called belly dancing. With a focus on the joy of dancing, we dance to wonderful oriental music. We do dreamy veil dances, swing our hips to the beat of the music and let our hip scarves rustle to fiery drum rhythms.
This class is for women of all ages who enjoy dancing in community. Any woman can join in, no previous experience required.
How does this activity work?
There is a short warm-up at the beginning of each course. Then we start dancing the basic belly dance figures to lively music at the same time. In every lesson, we learn a small new technique or a simple step combo, which you can also follow when you're new to it. We then also do special things such as veil or stick dancing and end the lesson with a joint dance in a circle, e.g. drum solo.
Who should definitely take part?
For all women, for all ages. You're just the right person if you enjoy exercise, if you have a stressful job and want to relax to beautiful music, or if you want to give your body more femininity.
