Class description

An espresso made from a portafilter is a taste highlight, but only if you can operate the machine correctly.

I had to make this experience over 10 years ago when I bought my first portafilter machine
and simply did not want to taste the result. No matter which espresso I used, it always tasted the same...
That was my motivation for this course.

In our barista course, you will learn everything you need to know about coffee yourself. From cultivation, harvesting, varieties to processing. Then you will learn all the important factors that make espresso a taste highlight and how you can control these factors. We then dive into the fine art of latte art and learn how to properly froth milk and how to pour a heart into a cappuccino. Finally, we will roast an espresso together, and you will learn what the differences are in the degree of roasting, etc.

How does this activity work?

First of all, it's about the coffee itself.
What are the differences and how is this noticeable?

  • The plant - Different genera and their peculiarities
  • Varieties - There are many different types of coffee beans, each tastes different
  • Preparation - The coffee is still dried and sometimes fermented on the fincas

We then take care of the perfect espresso experience.

  • Factors influencing taste - you should pay attention to that
  • The perfect espresso - this is how you adjust the grinder to exploit its full potential

Then there is the artistic side of the barista

  • Latte art - The art of milk froth isn't that difficult if you know how to do it.

And finally, our craft

  • Espresso roasting - When roasting together, we show how the coffee changes

Who should definitely take part?
