What can you expect from the Portrait Drawing course in Leipzig?
In the Portrait Drawing course, the focus is solely on the face. The course instructor will explain the basic principles and how to train vision through close observation. The aim is to develop a drawing that is similar to the model and is coherent. As in the nude drawing course, you can experiment with very different techniques (pencil, ballpoint pen, ink, pastel circles, etc.). Of course, more abstract and alienating approaches are also possible upon request.
Our courses are intended for beginners and/or advanced users. In the “Portrait Drawing” course, you work with a “real” model.
Where does nude drawing take place in Leipzig?
Nude drawing takes place in the beautiful rooms of the Kunstschule Goldfisch - in the middle of the historic Waldstraßenviertel (close to the center). We are easy to reach by car or public transport.
What you’ll do in the class
You come as a group of at least 6 and a maximum of 10 people. The course lasts 2 hours.
The course instructor explains the basic principles of portrait drawing and then you start drawing or painting. He'll help you with that!
Who is the class suitable for?
The course is designed for all groups who want to dedicate themselves to the challenging topic of “portrait”! It doesn't matter whether you are a beginner - or already have experience.
