In five consecutive units, you will learn the basics of image design in a practical way — inspired by masters such as van Gogh, Cézanne, Hopper, Monet and Hockney. You paint in a structured way with step-by-step instructions, are individually accompanied and take home a finished work after each appointment. What you’ll do in the class
Each participant receives clear step-by-step instructions. I preface every section — from image composition to preparation. All pictures are created in four stages. Finally, I give individual suggestions for your own theses.
On five different topics, we explore various aspects of painting and image design. Every evening, you take home a finished picture:
- Experience color effects — like van Gogh
- Capture form and volume — like Cézanne
- Understanding space and perspective — like Hopper
- Shaping light and atmosphere — like Monet
- Find composition and expression — like Hockney
On the first evening, I'll also show you a simple way to frame a picture.
