Miss Olive & Me book classes

Creativity has been with me for as long as I can remember. As a child, I was convinced that my Barbie had far too few clothes. So I started improvising — with scraps of fabric, ribbons, and even my grandma's curtains. My imagination knew no bounds. Looking back, it was probably already clear back then where my path would lead.

Today I work as a fashion designer and have been developing products and collections for many years. At some point, however, I wanted to create my own project of my heart — a place where I could design freely, experiment with colors and express my creativity without guidelines.

This is how “Miss Olive & Me” was created.

The inspiration came in 2021 during the Corona period — from the longing for sun, sea and carefree moments as well as memories of a wonderful vacation in Brittany. Since then, I have been creating motifs in Hamburg that are inspired by nature, the seasons and the beautiful little things in life. I lovingly handprint high-quality textiles using the traditional screen printing process — with water-based inks and a particular focus on sustainability and long-lasting materials.

The idea of offering workshops came about quite unexpectedly. A customer was so impressed by my hand-printed beach towels that she asked me if I also give screen printing courses. That question never let go of me anymore. Why not share the joy of screen printing with others? That's how my unique printed pieces eventually turned into creative workshops.

Today I want to show people how much fun creative work can be. It is important to me that everyone feels welcome — regardless of previous knowledge or drawing talent. That's why I work with a large selection of carefully prepared motifs so that we can dedicate all our time together to printing, experimenting and designing.

I love the moment when, after squeezing, the colander lifts and the finished design emerges. I still experience this little bit of amazement with every single print — and it is exactly this experience that I would like to share with my participants.
