Lena's color playground

I am Lena — artist, founder of the color playground and studied costume and stage designer. My creative journey began in Hamburg and led me to Berlin through my studies at the Art Academy in Maastricht, where I now run my studio on Rosa Luxemburg-Platz.

Even in stage design, I was less interested in the perfect end result than in the question of what atmosphere a room creates and what people can feel in it. This is exactly what the color playground was created from: a place where color, material and free expression take center stage.

My mission is to create spaces in which people — children and adults alike — can design without pressure to perform.
It is not about “being able to paint beautifully”, but about the sensory experience of color, traces, textures and your own creative process.

In the color playground, you can experiment, smudge, print, layer and discover.
I believe that creativity is strongest when it is free.

Location

My studio is located in the middle of Berlin on Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz — a bright, aesthetic and quiet space that is deliberately designed as a counterpoint to the often fast-paced everyday life.

Here I'm working with:

• large format paper surfaces
• high quality paints
• Rollers, blades, rollers and spatulas
• Printing materials and monoprint tools
• natural materials and exciting surfaces
• large work surfaces on the table and on the floor

The atmosphere is warm, open and inspiring — almost like a small stage set for creative processes.

Depending on the format, up to 6 adults or 6 children can be comfortably accommodated.
For private groups and birthdays, up to 8 people are also possible.

Classes and events

My courses are special because they are process-oriented and sensually structured.

There are no classic templates and no rigid step-by-step instructions. Instead, open impulses create spaces for:

• intuitive painting
• free printing
• Material experiments
• Texture work
• Large-scale design
• creative deceleration

It is particularly important to me that each person is allowed to move at their own pace.

Whether it's an after-work workshop, a Sunday print shop, a children's studio or a free play of colors:
My formats combine art, material experience and emotional freedom.

This makes them particularly suitable for people who long for peace, expression and a genuine creative experience.

Team events and private events

Yes, I also offer private group formats, team events and creative children's birthday parties.

For groups in particular, the colour playground creates something very special:
When people work together on large areas, leave traces and react to each other, the result is connection, lightness and often surprisingly beautiful dynamics.

That makes my private events unique:
