About Beyond & Beneath Tours
Berlin is much more than its most famous sights. Our tours take you to places where history becomes tangible and tell the stories behind the city of today.
Beyond & Beneath Tours is aimed at anyone who not only wants to see Berlin, but really want to understand it. Whether it's history, architecture, medicine, politics or culture — we combine exciting stories with well-founded research and show how past and present are still interlinked today.
Our tours
Our guided tours are not classic overview tours, but thematic tours that examine individual aspects of Berlin's history particularly intensively. Instead of showing as much Berlin as possible in a short period of time, we focus on selected topics and tell their story where it actually happened. In doing so, we value lively storytelling, surprising perspectives and plenty of space for questions and discussions.
Our location
Each tour takes place where history was written. Whether at the Charité, along the former Berlin Wall, in the streets of Moabit, or between post-war architectural projects — Berlin itself becomes the setting for our stories. Public tours take place in small groups, and we design private tours individually according to the interests of our guests.
Private groups & team events
All our tours can also be booked exclusively for private groups, companies, universities or conference guests. In addition, we are happy to develop individual tour concepts for specific topics or occasions. Whether it's a company outing, seminar program or private event — we design guided tours that are tailored to the interests and wishes of each group.
