About this class
What you’ll do in the class
Your project follows a clear, manual workflow: Based on your pre-coordinated design and the prepared frame, you start directly with the tufting gun. You'll experience the proud moment when individual wool threads become a dense, high-quality texture that reflects your style. To make your rug a long-lasting design object, you will finally learn how to professionally finish it: from gluing the back to precise shearing and trimming the contours. This is how you leave the studio with a finished unique piece that impresses in look and feel.
At a glance: That's what you can expect
- Your unique piece: A high-quality carpet work of art (max. 50 x 40 cm) made from 100% sheep wool for the floor or wall.
- Preparation: Individual design coordination in advance as well as preparation of the frame and transfer of motifs.
- Craftsmanship: Intensive introduction to the tufting gun and support during finishing (gluing, shaving and contour cutting).
- Full service: 3 colors of wool included (any additional color possible at an additional cost), use of all professional machines, frames and tools.
- Studio experience: Exclusive break in small groups (max. 6 people) including coffee specialties, teas, water and delicious snacks.
- Time for you: 4 hours of pure time off in the studio in Emmering.

- Slippers: Since we don't wear street shoes in the studio, please bring clean shoes. You also stand more often, so they should be comfortable.
Who is the class suitable for?
This workshop is aimed at anyone who is in the mood for a physical, craft experience and wants to create a textile object from scratch.
- You don't need any previous knowledge of the tufting gun. We start with a technical introduction to the frame.
- If you value individual interior pieces and would like to implement your own design (by prior arrangement).
- Minimum age: Due to the handling of the machine, the course is suitable for adults (or young people aged 16 and over).
