About this class
While pottery on the disc in Hamburg, you create your own favorite piece of clay. In a small group, you will learn the basics of the potter's wheel, center the clay and form up to three pieces of ceramic. Christina from Cassiopeiakeramik accompanies you with professional guidance, creative tips and lots of peace and quiet. Your finished works are then fired, glazed and are ready for collection or sent to you after about four weeks.

What you’ll do in the class
- Greeting with welcome drink and snack
- Brief presentation and collection of ideas
- Introduction to clay, tools and pottery wheel
- Demonstration of the most important steps
- Center the sound and rotate simple shapes
- Plastering, twisting or designing your pieces
- Manufacture of up to three pieces of ceramic
- Firing at 1250 °C and glazing by the studio
- Pick-up or shipping after approx. four weeks
