About this class
In this pottery course in Wuppertal, you design your own ceramic pieces without a turntable. When building by hand, you shape the clay with your hands and develop personal favorites from it. Whether it's a bowl, a cup, a small vase or your own idea: The September Studio gives you space to try things out and the right support for your project. We will show you the techniques step by step and help you implement your ideas. The course is ideal for groups of up to 8 people, birthdays, bachelor parties or team events. Coffee, water and small snacks are available so that you can relax and enjoy your creative time together.
Good to know: Your workshop includes everything you need for your planned project. If you would like to design additional or larger pieces, that is welcome. We will discuss additional material costs transparently with you during the workshop.

What you’ll do in the class
- You and your group will meet at the studio in Wuppertal in September and start your creative time in a relaxed way.
- At the beginning, we will show you the basics of manual construction techniques and introduce you to clay, tools and design options.
- You can bring your own ideas or be inspired by examples and inspiration from the studio on site.
- Together, we will see which project you would like to implement and which technology fits best.
- Then get started yourself and shape your ceramic pieces step by step with your hands.
- We will accompany you throughout the workshop, give tips and help you implement your ideas.
- If you want to try things out freely or take time for details, the course offers enough space for that.
- While you're creative, you can help yourself with coffee, water, and small snacks.
- Finally, we will discuss with you how your works will continue and when or how you can pick them up or further process them.
- If you would like to design an additional piece spontaneously, you are welcome to do so. We will discuss additional material costs openly with you during the workshop.
