About this class

Create stamp motifs, carve and stamp stamps. More creative Mindblow is almost impossible, is it? With this workshop, I'm going one step further, your stamp results will then be reproduced with the risograph in two of the beautiful riso colors!

In this workshop, I'll show you how to carve stamps for riso printing and how to create print templates from them, e.g. for postcards or the like.

What you’ll do in the class

One week before the workshop, you will receive the Riso mail with workshop material, including a Riso Color Chart, rubber stamps and your own Stamp Sketchbook.

In
time before the workshop, you will receive a list by email with additional material that you need for the workshop. The material that you won't get from me via riso mail is usually at home anyway, but what you absolutely need is a suitable carving tool and a black ink pad. Tips and information about this are included in the list of materials.

Padlet access
During the workshop, we work with Padlet, a digital bulletin board. You will receive an access link for this before the workshop.

Workshop day
On the workshop day itself, we meet twice in an online meeting with a break for creative implementation. In the meantime, I am available to each participant individually during implementation.

09.30 - 11:00: Introduction to the online zoom meeting
until 14:00: Creative phase for designing the print templates incl. Support
14:00 - 15:00: Closing meeting

Returns, printing & shipping Once your print template
is ready, send it to me and my risograph will reproduce your result in two riso colors of your choice. The finished prints will be sent to you by post.

What to bring to the class

Before the workshop, you will receive a package of materials by post. You will also need carving tools and an ink pad with black paint. You will receive information about this by email in good time before the workshop.

Riso post in advance with extensive workshop material (including Riso Color Chart, rubber stamp, carving templates, mini sketchbook and more).
Introduction to stamp carving in an online zoom meeting.

Details

We print with two of the great risography colors.
You can choose from 23 of the super beautiful colors.
In the end, you will receive five A4 printouts sent to your home.
You don't need any previous experience!
What you need, however, is a good Internet connection, a webcam and a microphone.
This workshop takes place online.
