Heidelberg has many culinary secrets — and you'll discover them on your puzzle dinner tour! But it's not just an aperitif and a delicious 3-course dinner in three trendy top locations. Getting there is just as exciting as the food itself!

Small, ingenious puzzles await you between the courses. Every question you answer brings you one step closer to the next location. Each correct answer provides you with a letter of solution. If you put all the letters together, you get the answer — and this will tell you the name of the next restaurant where the next culinary treat is waiting for you!

Riddle your way around Heidelberg and enjoy an evening full of surprises, enjoyment and adventure. “Taste Heidelberg” is no ordinary dinner — it is an interactive experience that takes you to real secret tips about the city in a fun way.

Please note: You must always book at least 2 people for the tour to take place. Otherwise, the ticket will be canceled.

Steps of the tour

The special thing about our dinner tours: Each one is unique. All top locations are constantly being recombined to offer our guests an exceptional evening.

1st aperitif: surprise location 1
- You start your puzzle tour at 6:15 p.m. In location 1, you will be greeted at the bar, where a wonderful aperitif awaits you. The ideal start to a successful evening. At around 6:40pm, you will receive information about the second surprise location by email. There's a delicious starter for you from 7:15 p.m. But you don't have to stress yourself. All stations can be easily reached on foot within 5-10 minutes.
2nd starter: surprise location 2
- We continue in location 2 with a delicious starter. This was created exclusively for our tour guests. This makes your second course an individual pleasure experience. At around 7:50pm, you will receive all the information about the third surprise location, where a delicious main course and a delicious dessert will be waiting for you from 8:15pm.
3rd main course & dessert: surprise location 3
- You can choose your main course in Location 3 from a small, fine menu. Culinary variety is therefore guaranteed, including the right ambiance. While you relax and enjoy your main course, your dessert is already being created with love in the kitchen. So you can end your evening in a very enjoyable way. Your tour officially ends around 22:45.

For all night owls...

... for those who want to experience something else afterwards, the city has plenty of cool bars to offer. Of course, you will receive a surprising secret tip from us.

Who should take part in this tour?

The puzzle dinner tour is perfect for anyone who likes to enjoy, puzzle and discover the city in a completely new way!

Together, you will visit various restaurants in downtown Heidelberg. The locations will all have a pleasant atmosphere where you can enjoy a delicious meal. You will be notified of the start location in advance by email. Please book the event with an email address that you can access during the event.

I gave the tour away for my birthday because I wanted something different and exciting for my husband and me, as well as something new in the food. The emails were sent well, they always arrived on time. At the first location for the aperitif, they knew nothing about us and this tour and several people had to be interviewed and phone calls made until someone finally knew what it was about. We were then allowed to choose from the aperitif menu, after all. All in all, this was unfortunately not such a successful start. Overall, the second location for the starter was the best prepared for us out of all participating locations. There were places for us and the lady knew about it. The food was very good too. At the third location, we had to explain again that we had booked this tour and that roach should actually be planned for us. We had to wait for our table because there was such a huge crowd - incomprehensible to us. When we were given a cookie, we received beef rolls with red cabbage and spaetzle... and that at the end of May at 29 degrees! Unfortunately, the taste of the dish was also not convincing. We had the dessert wrapped up and brought it home. Of course, we were also interested in how high the actual costs for the dishes were and thus came up to a maximum of 2/3 of the total price. We found this to be inconsistent in relation to the total costs and would really like to suggest that it would make more sense to be able to choose between two main courses, for example. Communication should also improve, so you book a tour for a high price, which caused question marks at most locations and could therefore not be properly addressed to us at all. That is a shame and avoidable - in particular, it does not encourage us to repeat or recommend it to others. Too bad...
