Podcasting inspires more and more people - and rightly so! A podcast is an intimate form of storytelling that creates a strong connection with listeners. Whether entertaining, informative or inspiring — with your own podcast, you can make your voice heard and share your stories with the world.
In the one-day basic workshop, you will dive into all important areas of podcast production and receive valuable practical tips: from brainstorming and conception to recording technology and speaking on the microphone to post-production, publishing and marketing. In doing so, we work in a practical way and tailored to your needs. You have the opportunity to sharpen your podcast idea, structure an episode and make a first sample recording.
At the end of the workshop, you'll have a complete overview of the process of creating a podcast and you'll be ready for your first episode of your own. You'll go home with a sample shot, lots of practical tips and a good dose of inspiration. If you want to look something up again, no problem: We will provide you with a detailed handout of all course content.

How does this experience take place?
Our one-day podcast workshop gives you a compact and practical introduction to the world of podcasting. Here you'll learn everything you need to start and publish your own podcast.
The workshop starts with the basic question: How do I create an exciting podcast? How do I structure my episode and how do I write a script? Together, we work out what makes a good podcast, how to define a target group and choose a suitable topic. You will learn about various formats and dramaturgical tools.
Next, we'll focus on the heart of every podcast: recording. We'll show you how to speak correctly into a microphone, what speaking techniques are available and what is important when recording. You will learn which technology and programs you can use to record and edit your podcast and how to prepare your recording technically.
After the lunch break, it's time to start recording! You can try yourself directly on the microphone and record a short test recording. You will receive individual feedback from us and the other participants.
When the recording is “in the box,” it's time for post-production. We'll show you how to edit your recording, cut out pauses and slips, and spice it up with music and sounds. You'll learn why this post-processing is so important and how you can use it to improve the quality of your podcast.
Finally, it's about publishing and marketing your podcast. We'll show you which platforms exist, how to upload your podcast and share it with your target group. You'll get tips on how to promote and monetize your podcast, if that's what you want.
