Class description

In addition to tasting, the entertaining online event, which we are holding live with the video conference service “Zoom”, focuses on the production process of gin in theory and practice, including the legal situation in Germany.

During the approximately 2.5-hour online event “How-to-Make-Your-Own-Gin @Home”, we will be distilling gin live in front of the camera. This is done with two different manufacturing processes in table distilleries and you will thus experience gin production live and understand what terms such as maceration or steam infusion mean.

You will receive a nice tasting box from a parcel service before the workshop. We will taste this (pre-shipped) homemade gin together with three high-quality “purchasable” gins. The botanicals included in the package give you a special insight and connection to gin flavors.

Very special: You make a compound gin yourself with the ingredients provided during the event.

The event is organized by Dipl.-Ing. Matthias Holzäpfel, who has attended several seminars on gin production and regularly produces gins himself. Experienced bartender Steffi will co-host the evening.
