Darkly, we can remember the time when gin and tonic was known as the favorite drink of British grandmothers rather than as an integral part of modern beverage menus. In recent years, however, gin has been permanently changing the beverage landscape: Regional and local gin distilleries are developing unique micro-batches. Botanicals turn the two-component drink gin and tonic into a celebration of possible combinations. You can even make gin at home. But what actually tastes good?

The gin tasting takes place at your desired location in the Cologne/Bonn area. Travel within a radius of 50 km from Sankt Augustin is included.
What you’ll do in the class
Similar to a wine tasting, you and your guests emerge from the event as gin professionals. After an introduction to the history of gin, it's time to get straight to the nitty-gritty: Is there a hint of cardamom or Mediterranean herbs in the spirit? Which tonic optimally complements which type of gin? To refresh, we also deliver our tasting documents. When it comes to gin varieties, we focus on a wide range of tastes: With Monkey 47, Plymouth, Malfy, Beefeater and Siegfried, there is something for everyone. High-quality tonics from Fever Tree, Thomas Henry and Schweppes serve as mixers, while botanicals such as orange, rosemary, basil and lemon produce the best gin notes.

- Afterwards, the various gins are tried and mixed with various botanicals
- Accompanied to the tasting, each participant receives a gin handbook with all possible information.
