About this class
Roomlight Studio lampshade workshop
Design your own lampshade and realize your idea for a special lamp. We'll show you step by step how to make a drum-shaped umbrella. Fabrics, papers, films and tapes are available.
You make lampshades in sizes from 15 x 20 cm to 25 x 25 cm. Larger formats are also possible by arrangement.
You can use your finished lampshade as a pendant lamp or set it on a table lamp. If you want to redesign an existing lamp base, feel free to bring it along.

- Alternatively, send us measurements and a photo in advance.

You will receive the material for a lampshade in sizes from 15 x 15 cm to 25 x 25 cm.

What you’ll do in the class
- You try out different lampshade sizes on the lamp base you have brought along.
- You choose fabrics, papers and other materials.
- You cut the material to size and glue it to the film.
- You roll the adhesive film onto the rings.
- Finally, you design the finishing work with folded edges, ribbons or fringes.

Add more to your class
Wir stellen für Kursteilnehmer, die das wünschen, eine Auswahl an kleineren Lampenfüßen zur Verfügung, die wir in unserer Werkstatt aus Vasen aufgebaut haben. Die Vasen sind mit Sand beschert, mit einer Messingkappe verschlossen, auf welche eine E27-Fassung geschraubt wird.
Hier bieten wir zwei Varianten an: einmal eine verkabelte Lampe mit Stecker und Wippschalter oder als kabellose Variante mit einem Leuchtmittel mit Akku, das über einen USB-C-Anschluss aufgeladen werden kann. Die Variante mit Kabel kostet 45 Euro und ist als zweite AD-On-Variante hier auf der Plattform buchbar. Die kabellose Variante kostet 35 Euro und ist unter dieser Option buchbar.

As a manufacturer of lamps, we produce lampshades ourselves. In our workshops, we will show you how to create umbrellas in cylindrical shape ranging from Ø 15 x h 20 cm to Ø 25 x h 25 cm yourself. We also offer a nice selection of papers, fabrics, ribbons and fringes.
