Berlin is home to many green treasures — and on a wild herb hike, you don't have to travel far to discover them. On this five to seven hour long hike through Rosenthal, in northern Berlin, along the former Wall Trail, you dive deep into nature. Where the death strip once stood, you will get to know the botanical diversity of the region and learn exciting things about the use of wild herbs in cooking and as remedies.

Accompanied by wild herb expert and biologist Manuel Larbig or one of his herbal experts, the hike is an enjoyable experience — rounded off by a joint picnic with homemade wild herb butter.

 

Where does the herb hike take place?

The start and end point of the herb hike is near the Rosenthal tram and bus station (North). This makes travel easier and ensures a comfortable return after a day full of nature experiences.

The herb hike in Berlin takes about 6 hours and takes us along the historic Berlin Wall Trail. On this picturesque route, we leave the urban hustle and bustle behind and dive into the plant world. We explore various ecosystems and even enter a nature reserve to discover the variety of wild herbs.
