What you’ll do in the class
In this course, the first hour features a presentation on kimono. We select a participant to model, demonstrating the dressing process while explaining what is required and the techniques involved. We then explore the traditional Japanese culture, spirituality, and philosophy embodied within kimono and the art of dressing.
In the second half of the workshop, you have the opportunity to dress yourself in yukata — light summer kimono that form the foundation of traditional kimono dressing. The instructor guides you step by step, sharing practical tips and techniques along the way, so even complete beginners can enjoy the experience with confidence.
