About this class
Pottery course in Cologne: Learn pottery now
In this 2-hour pottery course, you can make wonderful ceramics such as heads, figures, bowls and vessels yourself using construction technology. Our experienced ceramist Bele is always there for you with expert guidance, tips and help. Coffee, water and cookies are ready for you in our cozy kitchen if you want to take a break.
The price also includes the scrub fire. If you want to glaze afterwards, you can do it with us on another date on Mondays.
What is the process of the pottery course?
- For example, we use construction technology to produce heads, but also bowls, vessels or figures.
- If you want, we can design the whole thing so that you can even plant something in it later
- Your works will dry for about 7-10 days and then be fired. We will then write to you so that you can pick up your work and/or choose a date for glazing.
Your new ceramic work of art is sure to be an eye-catcher!
Pottery course in Cologne: Who is the course suitable for?
The pottery course is suitable for beginners who enjoy creating something with their hands. When sculpting the clay, you feel the natural, earthy material and can completely immerse yourself in it. Create your own unique pieces!
In a manageable group with a maximum of 8 participants, you will learn how to build ceramics and can let your imagination run wild in the ceramic workshop! In this way, we can guarantee individual advice during the pottery course so that everyone receives the same help that is needed. So you can learn to make pottery in a relaxed way.
When can I pick up my ceramic after firing?
The clay objects will be burned by us. You can then pick up your finished fired ceramic after 2-3 weeks.
If you want to glaze your work, you can make a new appointment on site or book it right away via the add-on. It takes place every Monday from 19:00 to 21:00.
We are already looking forward to making ceramic heads with you in our pottery courses in Cologne.
What you’ll do in the class
We will explain to you how to peel and treat the clay so that it stays well in the oven and does not burst. Then we'll show you everything you could do and off you go with your own work. We don't turn bowls but create an object, which can of course also be a bowl or a plate, but also a great figure, etc.
Who is the class suitable for?
for anyone who enjoys working with their hands and wants to create something out of clay
