About this class
In a world filled with images, phototherapy allows us to truly see — ourselves. I offer experiential workshops for women where the smartphone camera becomes a tool for self-expression, self-discovery, and connection to meaningful moments.
Every Image Tells a Story. What's Yours?
In a World Where We're Constantly Bombarded with Perfect, Filtered Images, What If Photography Could Be Something More Profound? What if the lens could become a gateway to your inner world—revealing emotions, memories, and truths that words alone cannot express?
This isn't just a photography workshop. It's an emotional journey of self-discovery.
The Power of Photo Therapy
When we capture an image, we capture a moment, a feeling, a fragment of our soul. Photo Therapy Harnesses this profound connection between our emotions and visual expression, creating a safe space where healing, growth, and revelation can flourish. Through the viewfinder, we discover parts of ourselves we never knew existed.
A Journey of Emotional Discovery
Over two transformative days, you'll experience how the simple act of pressing a shutter can:
- Unleash Emotions Buried Beneath the Surface of Everyday Life
- Bridge the gap between what you feel and what you can express
- Reveal the extraordinary beauty in your ordinary moments
- Connect you with others through the universal language of visual storytelling
Why Join?
What if your camera could do more than capture images—what if it could capture emotions, memories, and untold stories waiting to be revealed?
Step into a transformative experience where photography becomes a gateway to deeper self-awareness, creativity, and mindfulness. Through immersive exercises, thought-provoking discussions, and guided reflections, you'll uncover new perspectives—not just in the images you take, but in the way you see yourself and the world around you.
Location
The workshop will take place in a historical building - at an old train station in Spreewald. It is one hour away from the center of Berlin and the train RB7 stops every hour 50 m away from the building. There is also a large garden with other historical buildings that can be excellent photo backgrounds.

About the artist Nino Megreli
Nino Megreli blends photography with self-expression, using phototherapy as a powerful tool for personal insight. After studying photography under the photographer Jacob Burshtein and at Camera Obscura, she deepened her expertise studying phototherapy at Tel Aviv University, where she later served as a teaching assistant.
Her work extends to Photo:Voice, applying this methodology to work with unique populations, including guiding autistic children in visual storytelling. She also incorporates therapeutic elements into her portrait photography, helping individuals connect with their emotions through the camera.
Her art has been showcased globally, featured in exhibitions that support social causes and foster cross-cultural artistic dialogue.
Recommendation of a participant Gili:
“During a difficult time in my life, a friend suggested I try phototherapy with Nino Megreli. I was hesitant about therapy in general, but eventually decided to give it a chance.
When Nino arrived, I was struck by her gentle presence. She created a space where I felt comfortable right away. The session lasted about six hours, though it didn't feel that long at all. As she photographed me, she spoke minimally but thoughtfully, guiding me with her calm voice.
I found myself experiencing a range of emotions throughout the session. There were tears, laughter, and moments of reflection. Her questions and occasional encouragement helped me open up in ways I hadn't expected.
By the end, I felt a sense of release. Something had shifted inside me—a feeling of inner strength emerged that I hadn't been able to access before.
The experience was truly helpful for me. If you're going through your own challenges, phototherapy with Nino might be worth considering. It provided me with a different perspective and a chance to process things in a new way.”
