What you’ll do in the class
We’ll meet at our cozy Neukölln studio — or at your chosen venue.
- Introduction
We’ll start by sharing a bit about who we are and what inspires us to create terrariums. - Terrarium History & Science
Before getting creative, we’ll take you on a short journey through the origins of terrariums — how they were discovered and the fascinating science behind these self-sustaining ecosystems. - Layers & Structure
We’ll guide you through the essential layers of a terrarium, the materials we use, and the role each plays in keeping the ecosystem healthy. - Time to Create
Now it’s your turn! You’ll design and build your own terrarium at your own pace, while we’re there to support, guide, and answer any questions. - Design Tips
We’ll share tips on how to create depth and dimension — like adding terraces, steps, or paths — plus advice on planting order and placing the hardscape for the best visual effect. - Springtails & Care Tips
Once your creation is complete, we’ll introduce you to springtails — tiny insects that help keep your terrarium clean and balanced. We’ll also cover essential care tips to keep your ecosystem thriving (and don’t worry — you’ll always have access to the full care guide).
