About this class
You are best friends and want to show it to everyone? Are you having a bachelor party and want to connect as a group? Have you always wanted to have a mascot? How about a custom patch that shows off your vibe? Patches are also a great way to protect or repair the knees or elbows of your favorite pants or jacket: and that's much more sustainable than throwing them away. We create your unique message as a picture and make patches out of it.
What you’ll do in the class
- Arrive 15 minutes, welcome drink
- 15-minute short theory input: Introduction to digital embroidery (CAD), software used, possibilities and limitations, artistic image composition, material science
- 45 minutes of creative work: forming a small group, drafting a patch using various templates, creating an analog collage
- 15 minutes of digitizing the template, insight into CAD
- 30 minutes of embroidery of the first prototype, adjustments and further embroidery if necessary
- Take the prototype with you or apply it directly to your favorite pieces of clothing
- Manufacture and shipping of further patches to you
Who is the class suitable for?
The course is suitable for all creative minds aged 14 and over. Children under 14 must be accompanied in groups of adults (1 adult per 4 children).
