Action painting, also known as gestural painting, is a technique coined in the 1940s by artists such as Jackson Pollock. Here, paint is not simply applied with a brush, but applied directly onto the canvas by sweeping, dropping, spinning or spraying. This technique allows you to interact with color and express your emotions directly and spontaneously.
