Hi, I'm Lena, 43 years old, artist, art teacher and passionate potter.

I learned to make pottery in our family workshop, which I have now been running in the second generation with great pleasure for 13 years. In my own work, I move between art, design and craftsmanship — inspired by materials, patterns, illustrations, spaces, games and, above all, by the people and encounters that result from them.

And that is exactly what outdoor pottery is all about: You bring your ideas — or none. There is no fixed program and nothing that you “must be able to do.” We simply watch together what you like, what you are interested in and what develops from the sound.

Perhaps you already have a very specific idea. Maybe you just want to try out what happens when you pick up sound. Both are good.

Whether you're a beginner or with pottery experience, you can try it out, discard, start over and do it simply.

My workshop can accommodate groups of 4 to 12 people. If you are more, just talk to me briefly beforehand and tell me approximately what you are up to — then I can be well prepared for it.

In any case, there is no lack of equipment: In addition to a 200-liter kiln, clay cutter and plate roller, there are over 40 homemade plaster molds in a modular system that you can freely use. Plus, of course, lots of tools and everything a pottery enthusiast needs. Let yourself be surprised what can be so useful when making pottery;)

My motto: Just try it out.

Put your hands on clay, forget everyday life for a few hours, create something and relax in between drinking tea and nibbling on cookies. ☕️🍪

Because that's exactly what I love about ceramics: endless paths and possibilities!

A small clay ball becomes a surface. The surface becomes an object. A dent suddenly becomes a shape, a line becomes a pattern and a small blob of color perhaps becomes a flower or a small creature that looks as if it had always been there.

Come by, stick your hands in the clay and discover with me everything that a piece of clay can contain.
