How does urban sketching work for beginners in Bonn?
During the Urban Sketching Workshop in Bonn, the course instructor and independent illustrator Tanja Meyer will show you many techniques to capture your own environment in a sketchbook. This is a crash course and in our case it relates specifically to drawing animals in the museum environment.
What will you learn in urban sketching for beginners in Bonn?
- You'll learn techniques to quickly draw a draft of the environment in the sketchbook.
- Breaking down complex shapes, depicting animals in space, techniques for fur and eyes
- You learn to find beauty in your everyday environment:)
Who is Urban Sketching for Beginners in Bonn suitable for?
The Urban Sketching Workshop is ideal for simply becoming “better” at observing and drawing. But the urban sketching method is also perfect for those who are preparing for a travel journal. Capture your memories in pretty drawings. Here you'll learn how to do it!
Urban sketching for beginners in Bonn — what you should bring along:
Feel free to bring along your personal material, which you like to use for drawing. I demonstrate my sketch using a mixed media technique of watercolor, colored pencils, markers and finelines. Bring a small watercolor box and brush accessories (e.g. lockable water glass and brush or water tank brush) as well as a waterproof fineliner with pigment ink (e.g. Edding Profi Pen, Pentel Pointliner or Faber Castell Pit Artist Pens).
I like to use the shades of gray on the Tombow ABT Dual Brush Marker for shading, I have enough of them with me in the workshop so that you can test it yourself.
Drawing in April
The nice thing about urban sketching is: There are no rules, we can draw inside and that's not such a bad idea in April.
