About this class

In this two-day course, we'll show you the basics of turning on a potter's wheel. First, the clay is kneaded and centered and your first bowls and cups are created. The following day, the pieces can be twisted, engobed (coloured clay) and decorated. Your pieces are then fired and glazed by us and can be picked up three weeks later. All materials, the glazing service and also the fires are included in the course fee.

What you’ll do in the class

The first day (3h) is filmed, the second day (3h) is filmed and then it takes three weeks until you can pick up the treasures. In the meantime, we do the scrub fire, the glaze service and the glaze fire.

Who is the class suitable for?

The course is suitable for anyone who wants to learn a great new technique with their hands. No previous experience is required. Minimum age 13 years.

What to bring to the class

Does not come in the finest clothes, although the clay can be washed out again, you still get a bit dusty. Aprons are available.
