Our basic blacksmithing course gives you the unique opportunity to dive into the traditional art of forging. Located right in a historic fort in Cologne-Bocklemünd-Mengenich, you will learn…
What you’ll do in the class
- Theoretical introduction: Brief introduction to occupational safety, small iron science, tools and fire care.
- Practical implementation: Learn basic techniques such as stretching, bending, widths and tips on the anvil.
- Project work: Manufacture of everyday, artificially forged everyday objects or simple tools.
This course is a fantastic way to get started with the basics of forging and create your own works of art.
The course takes place from 12:00 to 18:00 including a 1-hour break.
The public course is limited to a number of participants of 5 people.
Group appointments can be made with up to 7 people using the appointment request function.
