About this class
An online workshop for an introduction to watercolor painting. Whether you are a beginner or with some previous knowledge, everyone is welcome to this watercolor course and will be introduced to the fascinating possibilities of watercolor painting in easy-to-follow steps!
Online watercolor course: What is the process?
We cover the following topics:
1. Introduction to the material and particularity of watercolor painting
2. The most important techniques such as glazing, washing and wetting in wet techniques
3. Assign and apply techniques to appropriate motifs
All participants receive an illustrated handout as a PDF with the instructions.
Details to remember
What to bring to the class
- Watercolor paper of at least 200 g, even better 300 g
- watercolor paints, at least the primary colors red, yellow and blue (all others can be mixed with the primary colors) or a watercolor box with any number of colors
- 2 watercolor brushes, medium (e.g. size 4) and large (e.g. size 7). If you like, you can also use a fine one (but the tips of the larger brushes also work well for fine lines).
- A stable internet connection

Instructions with illustrated handout as a PDF, as well as professional instructions for painting with watercolors.

The aim of the courses is to be able to draw our environment and situations with ease (urban sketching). To do this, in the courses, we learn to develop an eye for the essentials and to capture a situation with targeted lines.
The course was very interesting and a lot of fun:)
