Class description

Paint your personal version of the poppy field and get to know the Brandenburg artist Karl Hagemeister! Simply paint the motif with artistic guidance in a relaxed atmosphere and friendly co-participants!

The focus of this event is on the joy of painting and the fun of creative exchange in a group - ideal for small gifts to loved ones and WITH loved ones! Learning about painting techniques is done by the way according to the motto: learning by doing :-)

How does this activity work?

In this course, we get to know the Brandenburg artist Karl Hagemeister and his painting. After an introduction to art history, we pick up the brush ourselves and recreate his painting style on the basis of one of his poppy flower paintings. We learn some basics of landscape painting and how to paint poppies and maybe other flowers.

How do you paint a sky? How do you bring space into the landscape? How does light behave in a landscape? How do you paint natural structures? How do you represent flowers plastically?

We explore all this together and try it out directly on the screen. Individual ideas and changes in the image are possible! I am always available for questions and assistance and explain every step in detail, as I paint on a canvas myself. We'll start right away with paint on the canvas and also try out some color mixes.

We paint in small groups of at least 2 to a maximum of 6 participants.

In between, we take a short break with coffee and cake.

At the end, you can take your work of art home right away.

Who should definitely take part?

No previous experience is required. The step-by-step instructions make the course very suitable for beginners. Advanced learners can try out a different way of painting and expand their knowledge and skills. The exchange within the group creates a creative atmosphere and provides fertile ground for further ideas.
