About this class
Do you want to surprise your loved ones for breakfast with fresh warm pretzel pastries? You can definitely do this with homemade pretzels and whole grain pretzels will also make breakfast healthy. You don't even have to get up too early, as the dough can be made the day before and is already maturing in the fridge. In the course, I have condensed the procedures so that the course can be carried out on time. We also prepare a delicious Obatzda that tastes so delicious with pretzels that it simply has to be added. I'll show you how it works.
What you’ll do in the class
At least one week before the start of the course, you will receive the recipe by email with detailed instructions, a shopping list for the ingredients and a list of all necessary kitchen appliances that we need. 12-16 hours before the first day of the course, you will prepare the starter dough as described in the recipe. You should also obtain and weigh all ingredients together with the equipment.
In this baking class, you will learn how to make great golden brown pretzels and other pretzels step by step. From dough to molding to cooking and baking, you'll learn everything. By the way: Pretzel pastry is also easy to prepare vegan if you replace the butter with margarine :-).
And while the dough pieces are going, we'll also prepare a traditional Obatzda — the perfect addition to your pretzels!
The day before the workshop, you will make the starter dough yourself using the exact recipe. In the workshop, we will prepare the dough together and form delicious wholegrain pretzels and bake them until crispy brown.
I'm already looking forward to the course with you.
