About this class

Welcome to BebberBu!

Do you love the minimalistic Skandi look or colorful unique pieces? In this workshop, you will learn how to create stylish decorative objects such as bowls, candle holders or trays from high-quality and environmentally friendly casting powder (Keraflott). Together, we go from dusty powder to a perfectly smooth finish.

Creative techniques: More than just white

White is classy, but we'll go one step further. In the workshop, we try out different finishes:

  • Color blending & pigmentation: How to mix delicate pastel shades or strong colors with liquid pigments.
  • Marble effect: The art of controlled chaos — how to create beautiful color gradients in just a few simple steps.
  • Terrazzo look: We use colorful fragments of old castings to create the trendy mosaic style. With this technique, you have to grind a bit longer, but the work is worth it.
  • Color blocking: Perfect for geometric shapes and modern contrasts. We only pour part of the mold and let this layer tighten for a short time. This is followed by a second color.
  • Ombré variant: We work our way from dark to light by mixing a little more white powder into the rest of the cup after each cast layer. This creates soft color gradients.
  • Inlays with metal leaf: Gold, silver or copper create shiny accents. We place small flakes of leaf metal directly into the mold before the mass gets in. When dried, the metal bonds directly to the ceramic flot. Particularly beautiful with dark-colored material — the gold then shines really brightly.

What you bring home:

In addition to your homemade unique pieces, you will also learn how to immediately pour on at home without expensive equipment. Caution: Addictive risk guaranteed.

What you’ll do in the class

The basics of processing

Before we get creative, we master the basics:

  • The perfect mixing ratio: Why scale and accuracy are your best friends.
  • Stir knot-free: How to achieve the consistency of liquid cream without stirring in too much air.
  • Bubble-free surface: Tips and tricks to make the surface mirror-smooth later on.
  • Demoulding patience: When is the right time to free the workpiece from the mold.

The professional finish

You can recognize a good object by the surface and the bottom. We are dedicated to the finishing touches:

  • Sanding: How to smooth edges and give the floor the perfect stand. This step is particularly decisive when it comes to the terrazzo look — the colorful chips only come into their own when sanded.
  • Sealing: Protects against dirt and moisture
  • Beautification: Applying cork to protect your furniture.

Who is the class suitable for?

For everyone who wants to try something new, take a little break, give someone a good time, simply be creative or create their own work.
