What you’ll do in the class
- Welcome and registration at the jumping area in Gera
- Detailed safety briefing by your tandem master
- Explanation of the correct posture during jumping, free fall, gliding and landing
- Issuance of professional rental equipment
- Secure connection with your tandem master
- Joint climb to jump height, usually around 20 minutes
- Opening the aircraft door and final check before taking off
- Tandem jump from an airplane, guided by your tandem master
- Free fall at around 200 km/h for around 25 to 55 seconds
- Opening the parachute by the tandem master
- Quiet gliding flight for approx. 5 to 8 minutes with views over Gera and Eastern Thuringia
- Joint, safe landing at the jump site
Who is the class suitable for?
The tandem skydive is suitable for anyone who wants to realize their dream of skydiving without previous knowledge. Thanks to support from an experienced tandem master, the experience is also ideal for beginners.
Eligibility requirements:
- Minimum age: 16 years
- Participants under 18 years of age require consent from a parent or guardian
- Minimum body height: 1.40 m
- Maximum body weight: 90 kg including clothing and shoes
- Normal physical and mental condition
- If possible, people wearing glasses should wear small sports glasses or contact lenses
- No participation in asthma, acute herniated discs, diabetes, heart problems or comparable diseases
- Participation is not possible during pregnancy
