At our workshop you will build a mini terrarium in a delicate glass container, together with moss, ivy or Fittonia. It will be a lot of fun, and it requires a little precision work with tweezers! You don't need to have a particularly green thumb, because it practically waters itself: It only needs water once every 3 months! These closed glass containers are mini-ecosystems: The water stays in circulation and the plants are self-sufficient.
First, let's take a look at how a terrarium works, and you'll discover the history of these little worlds under glass. Did you know that terrariums have been around since the 19th century? Then we'll build a mini terrarium, 19 cm high, 7 cm wide. Finally, I'll give you care tips for your mini garden.
The workshop can take place in my studio in Mitte (group of 15–20 people) or at a location of your choice in Berlin (for larger groups).
Only for groups, from min. 15 participants.
