Class description
In this course, you will work with the reducing/reductive sculpting technique on soft stone using rasps, files and small knives. A sculpture about the size of a fist is created. There are no limits to your imagination: abstract, concrete, figurative, imaginative — we are at your side as sculptors with all the know-how you need. Finally, the stone is ground and polished so that the veining and color stand out strongly. A matte sheen is created.
Soapstone is a soft stone that can even be worked with children's hands. The color selection ranges from turquoise to pink to gray and beige.
How does this activity work?
After a technical introduction, each participant chooses their stone and is supported in finding individual ideas.
Who should definitely take part?
For all art lovers aged 6 and over and adults, beginners and advanced solo artists can also come.
