About this class
Welcome to our creative linoleum printing workshop for parents and kids! In this entertaining and educational course, you will discover the fascinating world of linoleum printing together.
What you’ll do in the class
The workshop journey begins with an introduction to the basics of linocutting. Step by step, we'll show you how to choose your own motif or be guided by our inspiring examples. Together, we turn your ideas into sketches and then transfer them to the Linol printing plate or printing block. This is where artistic freedom is expressed as we carve the contours and details of your design into linoleum using special tools.
After your work of art has been designed, we will focus on the process of rolling with special printing ink for fabric and paper. You will learn how to apply the ink evenly to the printing plate to achieve the best possible result. After all, the highlight of the workshop is the actual printing process on your chosen medium. T-shirts, bags, pencil cases, bags or other textiles that consist of 100% cotton are suitable for this purpose. Please bring these with you to the workshop - to make the paint last longer, we recommend washing the fabrics once beforehand.
Together, you will be amazed how your unique linocuts take shape and come to life. This workshop not only creates creative works of art, but also valuable memories that you will create together.
