Class description
This workshop is aimed at everyone who is interested in Handpan, as well as those who have just taken the bold step of buying their first instrument. We start from the very beginning and look at the basic techniques of attack first. This includes the right hand movements to produce different sounds and the basic rhythms that lay the foundation for every game. Step by step, we will then delve into the world of game design and learn how to creatively combine the various sounds and rhythms. The aim is to work out the first simple ideas together, which, contrary to your expectations, will be very easy.
However, the focus is on having fun playing. There is no strict curriculum that we must follow, because the joy of discovering and experiencing music is what makes this workshop unique. Traditional school education often lacks space for playful learning and creative expression. Here I want to offer you exactly the opposite: an atmosphere of ease and joy, in which every participant can find authentic access to themselves and the sounds of the handpan.
Look forward to a time full of hearty laughter, deep encounters with sound and rhythm, and an authentic insight into the fascinating world of handpan. Regardless of whether you've never held a handpan before or are a beginner with your own handpan, this workshop offers something for everyone and invites you to discover new musical horizons in a relaxed and supportive environment.
