About this class
In this special and unique workshop in Hamburg, you will become a weaver of your own piece of clothing in no time at all - a wonderfully soft, warming scarf in your favorite shades! (Due to the delivery time of the wool, you have a free choice of colors up to 11 days before the workshop, after which you can choose from a range of suggestions put together by me.)
What you’ll do in the class
When you arrive at the Hamburg weaving mill (or a replacement location in Hamburg, we will communicate in good time), a weaving frame specially draped for you is already waiting for you. Whether grey, pink, beige, blue, sage, wine red, etc., your weaving frame and the wool for weaving are in your desired colors. We will discuss this about 1 week before the course, as well as the design of your scarf (check, stripes, plain colors?).
Then it's time to start weaving - I'll explain everything important to you and I'll be there to help you all the time as soon as you need me. You'll see that you'll be very familiar with weaving in no time and you'll be in full flow!
If you can part with your weaving frame for a moment, snacks and drinks are waiting for you in between.
Who is the class suitable for?
This is a course for anyone who is in the mood for a creative, meditative and inspiring craft experience and wants to learn something new. For anyone who wants to make a scarf within one afternoon that they can be very proud of and that will bring them joy for a long time.
It is equally suitable for beginners who are weaving for the first time and are in the mood for a new craft and a relaxing, creative break, as well as for experienced people who would like to complete a project from start to finish in a nice group.
