First-class olive oil can work wonders in the kitchen! We dedicate ourselves to the art of culinary combinations and discover which flavors harmonize perfectly. You'll learn how to use olive oils in a wide variety of ways — from delicious appetizers to sophisticated desserts.
- Experimental dishes — for the curious and creative A highlight of this workshop is discovering the versatility of olive oil in unexpected combinations. We try out unusual pairings and experiment with different foods. You'll learn how versatile olive oil is and that it is much more than just an ingredient in the kitchen.
- Deepening your knowledge
In this course, we build on what you have learned from the basic “Olive Oil Tastings” course in an Öldorado. Here you will not only get a refresher, but also deep insights into the sensory characteristics that make up a really good olive oil. Together, we analyse high-quality olive oils and discover how nuances such as bitterness, spiciness and fruitiness shape the profile of each oil.
- Regional specialization and producer knowledge
In this course, I will present you with exceptional olive oils from various regions, which I have carefully selected for you myself. Since I know the producers personally and regularly visit them on site, I can tell you exciting details and stories first-hand — from the challenges of cultivation to special harvesting techniques to the little secrets that make every oil so special. In this way, you will find out how climate, soil and growers' know-how influence the aromas and what effort it takes to produce such a premium product.
